Brooklyn Man Arrested in Moore County for Elderly Exploitation and Drug Possession

30 year old Xiaojun Zhu of Brooklyn, was arrested in Seagrove, NC, for defrauding an elderly person by impersonating FBI and Apple Security personnel. Zhu, who faces 10 charges, including felony exploitation and drug possession, attempted to extract more money in person from the victim. His arrest revealed drug possession, compounding his legal challenges. Authorities are investigating Zhu's motives and potential additional victims, as he remains jailed on a $1 million bond. U.S. Marshals and Moore County Sheriff Capture Fugitive on Murder Charge

Margaret Davis, a 34-year-old woman from Moore County, has been arrested and jailed on charges including second-degree murder, stemming from a fatal vehicle-related incident on November 15, 2021. Davis, who had evaded trial for felony death by motor vehicle, now faces a $1 million bond for the second-degree murder charge among other traffic-related offenses. See details Sandhills Sentinel.
