Fire on Lasswade Drive: Firefighter Hospitalized, Cause Still Unknown

Emergency responders tackled a significant fire on Lasswade Drive in Pinehurst Thursday evening. Two residents and a dog safely evacuated the fully engulfed home. Firefighters used a Tower Truck from Aberdeen to spray water from above before switching to handlines. A firefighter was hospitalized with a non-life-threatening medical issue. The cause of the fire remains unknown at this time. Multiple units from various local fire departments, EMS, and police responded to the incident. See more photos MooreBreakingNewz.com.

Gunfire Near Shell Gas Station Leads to Arrest in Seven Lakes

On Friday morning, July 19, Moore County Deputies responded to gunfire reports near the Shell gas station in Seven Lakes. A suspect, Anthony Lee Furr, was detained shortly after. Furr, charged with Going Armed to the Terror of the Public and Carrying a Concealed Weapon, is being held on a $100,000 bond. No injuries were reported, and there is no ongoing threat to the community. See details and photos MooreBreakingNewz.com.
