Thursday July 18, 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. at Moore County Agriculture Center, 707 Pinehurst Avenue, Carthage
Tuesday July 23, 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. at Aberdeen First Baptist Church, 700 N. Sandhills Boulevard, Aberdeen

Southern Pines Adapts to New Case Law with Updated Soliciting Ordinance
Southern Pines is is working to revise its no soliciting ordinance following new legal guidelines. The town will now allow enforcement of no soliciting rules on properties with visible "No Soliciting" and "No Trespassing" signs. Solicitation will be permitted on other properties from 8am to 8pm. Carthage Man Arrested on Multiple Child Sex Crime Charges
Joseph Adam Brady, 44, has been arrested following an investigation into a child sex offense reported in Carthage, NC, in March 2024. After months of investigation, detectives obtained warrants for Brady's arrest, and he was apprehended in Franklin County on July 16, 2024. Brady faces two counts of statutory rape and one count of indecent liberties with a minor. He has been transported to Moore County Detention Center, where he is being held on a $500,000 bond. His initial court appearance is scheduled for August 1, 2024. Source: Moore County Sheriff’s Office Facebook Page.
