VinFast Delays North Carolina Plant Manufacturing to 2028

VinFast has delayed the start of manufacturing at its North Carolina plant until 2028 to optimize capital and manage short-term spending. The company will focus on near-term growth and strengthening existing operations. VinFast expects to deliver 80,000 electric vehicles in 2024, down from an earlier projection of 100,000. North Carolina has invested $450 million to attract the automaker, which plans to eventually employ 7,500 people and produce 150,000 electric vehicles annually. See details BusinessNC.com.
