Moore County Woman Arrested for Insurance Fraud

Nicole Lynn Price, 44, of Cameron, has been charged with insurance fraud and attempting to obtain property by false pretense after submitting falsified car insurance receipts totaling $2,048.95 to GEICO. She was arrested on July 1, with a bond set at $2,500, and is scheduled to appear in court on July 16. See details CBS17.com.

School Superintendent Tim Locklair's Contract Extended

Dr. Tim Locklair’s contract as superintendent of Moore County Schools has been extended for four years. Locklair, who has nearly 30 years of experience in education, began his career as a teacher and coach at Pinecrest High School and has held various administrative roles, including area superintendent of Western Wake County. Overturned Jeep in Southern Pines

A collision at the intersection of South May Street and East Massachusetts Avenue in Southern Pineson Tuesday morning involved a Kia Forte and an overturned Jeep. One person sustained minor injuries, and South May Street was temporarily closed. Emergency responders included Southern Pines Fire & Rescue, Moore County EMS, and the Southern Pines Police Department. See details MooreBreakingNewz.com.
