Emergency responders dealt with a fire off Morgan Lane in Pinebluff on Saturday night, June 29, that detrsoyed a storage building and a vehicle, damaged another vehicle and a trailer, but did not spread to a nearby home. Quick Action Saves One Dog, Another Lost in West End Fire

Firefighters from multiple departments responded to a house fire on Archie Road in West End on Sunday morning, June 30. They quickly contained the blaze despite the heat. One family dog was rescued, but another perished in the fire. See details Sandhills Senetinel.

Refrigerant Leak Causes Evacuation at Harris Teeter

A refrigerant leak at Harris Teeter near Whispering Pines on Friday night, June 28, led to an evacuation and response from multiple fire departments. The leak caused a smoky haze in the mechanical room, which firefighters quickly contained, preventing any significant fire threat.
