Wrong-Way Driver Crashes Into Trees on US Hwy 1

Emergency responders attended to a driver who crashed into trees after driving the wrong way on US Highway 1 near Pinebluff. The driver, suspected of having a heat-related medical emergency, was uninjured but transported by EMS. One lane was closed for the incident response and investigation. Aberdeen Man Arrested for Harassing Customers

Joshua Ratliff, 26, from Aberdeen, was arrested for harassing customers at a business on June 23. He faces charges including possession of a firearm by a felon and drug-related offenses. Ratliff is being held on a $35,000 secured bond at the Moore County Detention Center. See details Sandhills Sentinel.

Scam Alert: Fake Central Electric Representative

Central Electric Membership Corporation has alerted Cameron area residents about a scam involving an individual in a white Jeep pretending to be a company representative. The company clarified that their vehicles are marked and that they do not send salespeople to homes. Residents are advised to contact authorities if approached by such individuals.
