Moore County Mother Charged with First-Degree Murder in Child's Death

A 26-year-old Moore County mother, Princess Jasmine McAllister, has been charged with first-degree murder after the death of her 18-month-old child. Initially charged with child abuse and neglect, the charges were upgraded following further investigation. McAllister is held without bond and will appear in court on June 12th. PBS NC Premieres ‘It’s a Beautiful Day in Pinehurst’

PBS North Carolina will premiere It’s a Beautiful Day in Pinehurst on June 11, an hour-long special hosted by Dwayne Ballen. The program explores Pinehurst’s rich history, cultural significance, and community impact, including highlights like Payne Stewart’s 1999 U.S. Open win and a tour of the World Golf Hall of Fame with coach Roy Williams. Airing on PBS NC, online, and the PBS App, the special reveals the stories behind the Pinehurst resort and surrounding areas. See details PBSNC.org.
