Health and Safety Prioritized for U.S. Open
Local, state, and federal agencies have developed a comprehensive plan to handle the crowds at the US Open next week, focusing on health and safety, weather challenges, and security. Enhanced measures, including improved water access and tight security, are in place to ensure a smooth event.
Emergency responders and healthcare providers are preparing for an increase in patients needing treatment for heat-related issues, given the typical sweltering conditions we can face this time of year. FirstHealth of the Carolinas will have volunteers stationed throughout the course to assist with minor health complaints, and a command center will be set up to manage any surge in patient visits. Additionally, discount codes for telehealth services will be distributed to help reduce hospital crowding. See more details NorthCarolinaHealthNews.org.

Whispering Pines features two 18-hole courses, a driving range, and a 25,302 sq. ft. clubhouse with various amenities. Foxfire Resort includes two 18-hole courses, a driving range, and a 6,074 sq. ft. clubhouse. See details Sandhills Sentinel.
eCourts Expansion to Reach Moore County by October 2024
The North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts (NCAOC) announced this week that the eCourts system will expand to 49 counties by October 14, reaching half of North Carolina's population. Moore County is in that list. The eCourts project aims to transition all counties from paper files to a cloud-hosted digital environment, providing numerous benefits such as 24/7 online access, reduced travel time, integration with public safety systems, and enhanced cybersecurity.
