Challenges Mount for VinFast

VinFast's planned $4 billion factory in Chatham County, North Carolina, may face further delays due to challenges in attracting U.S. customers. While expanding its dealership presence, VinFast is scaling down the factory's size and awaiting a new construction permit. The factory, initially expected to open in late 2025, aims to produce 150,000 electric vehicles annually and create 7,500 jobs. VinFast is also expanding its dealership network across several U.S. states. See details WRAL.com.

North Carolina New Driver’s License Design

The North Carolina DMV is introducing new driver licenses, permits, and ID cards with enhanced security features to combat fraud. Made from polycarbonate and personalized with laser engraving, the new cards are designed to be more secure and durable. The design includes familiar North Carolina imagery and over 50 security features. Production starts this week, with the current design phased out by the end of June. See details NCDOT.gov.
