Road Closures in Pinehurst for Memorial Day Weekend Event

The Village of Pinehurst has announced road closures for Memorial Day weekend to accommodate the Concours in the Village event. The following roads will be affected:

• Friday, May 24th: Dogwood Road in front of the Pine Crest Inn will be closed from 12 PM to 10 PM.

• Sunday, May 26th: Starting at 4 AM, Village Green W, Market Square, Chinquapin Road, and Cherokee Road will be closed and will reopen at 5 PM.

Residents and visitors are requested to move their vehicles from the Village area to allow full use of parking spots for the event. Unattended vehicles will be towed at no charge to the lower portion of the public parking lot near the Village Chapel.

Moore County Chamber Wins Communication Excellence Award

The Moore County Chamber of Commerce received the Communication Excellence Award at the 2024 CACCE Staff Leadership Development Conference for their Family Friendly Employer Guide. The guide, launched in February 2024, assists employers in addressing childcare challenges to improve employee wellness, retention, and upward mobility. It encourages business leaders in Moore County to adopt comprehensive strategies to support employees' family needs, developed with insights from the Chamber’s Childcare Task Force. Meet Tina Picariello, a cherished member of our Pinehurst community for over 24 years. Tina has become a beloved figure in the world of pet care. Transitioning from a two-decade-long career in the medical field to a focus on pet sitting, Tina has been passionately serving the pets and families in our local area for over three years.
