Sandhills Community College Launches Innovative Collision Engineering Program

Sandhills Community College has announced the addition of the Collision Engineering program to its Collision Repair and Refinishing Technology curriculum to hopefully address the shortage of collision technicians. This innovative two-year apprenticeship program alternates between classroom instruction and paid apprenticeships, allowing students to gain practical experience while earning their degree. Developed in collaboration with the automotive industry, the program aims to prepare students for successful careers in collision repair. SCC is the first in the Southeast to offer this program, joining several other colleges nationwide. Applications are open for the first cohort, with classes starting later this year.
