Tragic Monday Morning Fire near Carthage Claims Two Lives

Two men were tragically killed in a fire that occurred early Monday in a Moore County mobile home. The fire, which destroyed the home and blocked Union Church Road for hours, is currently under investigation. At this time, no information is available about the two individuals. Multiple local emergency services responded to the incident. See details WRAL.com.

Logging Truck Mishap and Multi-Car Collision in Carthage

A logging truck accident at Highway 24/27 and Bethlehem Church Rd in Carthage Monday afternoon resulted in logs spilling onto the road and a subsequent three-car collision during clean up. No serious injuries were reported, but the incident caused significant traffic disruptions. See details Sandhills Sentinel.

Robbins Police Department Requests Your Help

On April 9, 2024, a break-in occurred at Tarheel Drug Pharmacy in Robbins. Officers arriving at the scene confirmed that the pharmacy had been forcibly entered, and various items along with cash were stolen. The Robbins Police Department is asking for the public's help to identify two suspects.
