Two Detained After Vehicle Strikes Power Pole on U.S. 1

Two individuals were arrested early Sunday morning, April 7, after their car collided with a power pole on U.S. Highway 1 near Summit Street in Aberdeen. Moore County Sheriff's Office Impersonated in Jury Duty Scam

Reminder: The Moore County Sheriff’s Office reminds Moore County residents of a scam involving a fake Lt. Leonard from the Sheriff's Office demanding money to avoid arrest for missed jury duty. The Sheriff's Office never solicits money for arrest avoidance and urges residents to report such calls to 910-947-2931.
