Carthage is calling for volunteers to join its Historic Preservation Commission, aiming to establish a historic district, create design standards, and educate the community about preserving historic structures. Here’s the application link. The application process closes April 3.

Aberdeen Teen Linked to Berkley Community Property Damage

Authorities in Aberdeen have addressed a case of breaking and entering and property damage in the Berkley Community. After thorough investigation, a 16-year-old male was identified and linked to the damage of a newly renovated, vacant home. A juvenile petition was filed, leading to upcoming proceedings in the Moore County Juvenile Court. See details MooreBreakingNewz.com.

West End Resident Faces Court Following Financial Fraud Charges

A West End woman, Julie Yates, was arrested March 27 on charges related to financial fraud in Moore County. Following a report of unauthorized transactions, Sheriff Ronnie Fields’ team conducted an investigation that led to Yates facing charges of identity theft and financial card fraud. She is currently held without bond, with a court appearance scheduled for April 25.
