Major Drug Bust in Vass Leads to Two Arrests
In a significant drug bust in Vass, detectives arrested Margaret Elizabeth Kilcullen and James Carlton Maddox, seizing an array of drugs including fentanyl and methamphetamine. The March 28 operation revealed a stash of illegal substances and paraphernalia, leading to multiple charges against the suspects. They are currently held under a 48-hour hold, with a court date set for April 8, 2024. Source: Moore County Sheriff’s Office

Multiple Departments Respond to Late Night Fire in Southern Pines
A fire broke out on the second floor of a two-story house on Cardinal Road in Southern Pines late Wednesday night, March 27th. Fire Chief Mike Cameron reported heavy damage to the home, especially to the roof. Thankfully, two adults and a child escaped unharmed before help arrived. Firefighters, including units from several departments, managed to control the fire in about 30 minutes, but the home was left with extensive damage. See details Moore Breaking Newz.
