Judge Denies Release of Suspect in Allisha Watts Case Amid Unresolved Autopsy
James Dunmore, facing murder charges for the death of Allisha Watts, will stay in jail on a $1 million bond, despite his lawyer's plea for a non-secured bond based on an autopsy report that labeled Watts' cause of death as "undetermined." The court's decision was influenced by Dunmore's violent history and allegations of him hiding Watts' body. Watts was last seen with Dunmore before her family reported her missing in July of 2023, leading to Dunmore's arrest after her body was found in a forest, showing signs of decomposition and missing bones. The uncertain autopsy findings add complexity to the ongoing legal proceedings. See details wccbCharlotte.com.
