Moore County Sheriff Warns of Jury Duty Scam Calls
Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields is alerting the community to a scam involving a caller impersonating Deputy Rowland from the Sheriff's Office, fraudulently demanding money to prevent arrest for supposed missed jury duty. The Sheriff advises residents to ignore these demands and contact the Sheriff's Office (910-947-2931) assistance. Source: Moore County Sheriff’s Office

Free Seed Library for Local Gardeners
The Southern Pines Public Library Seed Library offers a free, accessible service for local gardeners to share and borrow seeds, fostering community connections and supporting local plant varieties. Seeds are meticulously organized by category—vegetable, herb, flower—and then sorted alphabetically by common name, packaged in pre-portioned envelopes to ensure users receive a sufficient quantity for planting. The program, which requires no library card, also provides educational resources on growing and saving seeds, with a simple system for borrowing and donating seeds to encourage a sustainable gardening community. See details sppl.libguides.com.
Where Should I Go For Medical Help?
The chart below was posted on First Health of the Carolinas Facebook page. We thought it was very helpful and could possibly help keep some people out of the ER who really don’t need it. It’s probably best viewed from your desktop or laptop computer. Our apologies for the small print if you’re reading on your phone.
