There will be a statewide tornado drill on Wednesday, March 6, at 9:30am.
Fatal Crash on U.S. 1 South Claims One Life in Single-Vehicle Incident
On Friday, March 1, a fatal accident took place on U.S. 1 South between Pinebluff and Hoffman, claiming the life of a man in a single-vehicle collision. After being alerted by a passerby, emergency units from Moore and Richmond Counties found the wrecked Jeep Cherokee south of the county line. The driver, ejected from the vehicle after it flipped several times, was pronounced dead at the scene. Speed is considered a likely cause as the investigation proceeds. See details Sandhills Sentinel.
