Pinehurst Prepares for Crowded Field as U.S. Open Entries Flood In

The U.S. Open Championship is witnessing a high volume of early entries, indicating a potentially record-setting interest for the 2024 tournament at Pinehurst Resort. With nearly 3,000 applications filed shortly after opening, the event is poised for intense qualifying rounds. Aberdeen Man Detained for Strangulation Assault in Domestic Violence Case

Corey Ronnelle Rucker, 44, has been arrested and charged with felony assault by strangulation and domestic violence after allegedly attacking his girlfriend multiple times in Aberdeen. The incident was reported to have occurred last Sunday in the Berkley Community. The Aberdeen Police Department, backed by evidence of visible injuries and statements from the victim and witnesses, confirmed the assault. The victim received medical treatment for her injuries, and Rucker is now held without bond at the Moore County Detention Center. See full story CBS17.com
