New Traffic Signals Installed at Southern Pines For Morganton Parks South Shopping Center

Southern Pines has two new traffic signals at critical intersections due to the opening of the Morganton Parks South Shopping Center, which includes Golf Galaxy, Dick’s Sporting Goods and eventually Target and more. The name of the new road that runs through the shopping center is Carolina Green Parkway. The new traffic light installations are at the intersections of U.S. 15-501 and Carolina Green Parkway, and Morganton Road and Carolina Green Parkway. More details: Sandhills Sentinel

The Town Hall in Cameron Will be Closed Friday, February 23

Plan Ahead for Highway 5 Lane Closure Today

One lane on Highway 5 will be closed for maintenance between Monticello Drive and the Harness Track/Fair Barn entrance on Wednesday, February 21st, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Flaggers will direct traffic, but delays are expected. Avoid the area if possible. Contact Public Services at 910-295-5021 for more information.

Hydrant Testing Scheduled in Aberdeen Starting March 1

The Aberdeen Fire & Rescue Department will undertake fire hydrant testing from March 1 to July 31, 2024. This may result in temporary changes in water pressure and clarity. Residents are advised to avoid using cloudy water for laundry and to drive carefully near testing sites. Source: Town of Aberdeen
