Woman Faces Multiple Charges After Police Pursuit Through Aberdeen

Jessica Oldham, 35, was arrested in Moore County after leading police on a chase through Aberdeen and Pinebluff and then attempting to escape on foot. Initially targeted for vehicle equipment violations, Oldham's attempt to flee involved multiple law enforcement agencies before her capture. Found in her vehicle were suspected marijuana and paraphernalia, contributing to her charges. With existing warrants for traffic-related offenses, Oldham now faces additional charges, including felony evasion and drug possession, and is detained without bond in the Moore County Detension Center. Scheduled Road Closure on St. Andrews Drive in Pinehurst

A section of St. Andrews Drive near Pine Tree Road will be closed on February 14th and 15th, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., for storm drainage pipe repairs. Pine Tree Road will stay open, but motorists are advised to avoid the area. For more information, contact the Public Services office.

Morganton Road Closure for Traffic Light Installation at New Intersection

Morganton Road will be closed between S. Henley and Brucewood from Thursday evening at 7pm to Friday morning at 7am for the installation of power to traffic lights at the new Carolina Parkway intersection. Detours will guide motorists around the closure.

Aberdeen Police Seek Assistance in Aldi Larceny Case

The Aberdeen Police Department requests public assistance to identify the suspect (shown above in blue) in a larceny case at Aldi. Contact the department at (910) 944-9721 or use the Tip Line at (910) 944-4561 for anonymous tips.

Josh Lowery, a Moore County native, has always had music coursing through his veins. Inspired by his father's entrepreneurial spirit, Josh embarked on his own journey, fueled by a passion for piano that began at the tender age of nine. After honing his skills at Sandhills Community College and earning degrees in Piano Pedagogy from a prestigious South Carolina college, he returned to his roots to sow the seeds of his own studio.

Since its inception, Sandhills Piano Studio has crescendoed to over 95 students, each one a testament to Josh's dedication and love for music. What sets Josh's studio apart isn't just the notes on the page; it's the way he nurtures talent in a low-pressure environment. Whether you're a beginner or a virtuoso, Josh meets you where you are and helps you soar.
