Aberdeen Police Investigate Highway 5 Food Lion Shooting

A shooting occurred in the Food Lion parking lot on Highway 5 in Aberdeen Wednesday evening January 17. The Aberdeen Police Department responded to the scene. Dalyne Chaquiel Balse, aged 31, was injured in the shooting and self-transported to a local hospital for treatment for a gunshot wound to the foot. No other injuries were reported. Multiple shell casings were found in the parking lot. The police are investigating the incident and are seeking information about a gray Kia Stinger (see above photo) related to the case.
