Fitness Center in Seven Lakes Shuts Down Due to Roof Collapse

The Seven Lakes Health and Fitness Center's pool facility suffered a roof collapse during the storms on Tuesday January 9. The center is temporarily shut down, with efforts underway to expedite the reopening. This damage comes on the heels of their recent grand opening with updates.

NCDOT to Install New Safety Features at Pinehurst Traffic Circle

The NCDOT is implementing safety upgrades at the Pinehurst traffic circle by installing delineation posts and curbing. The work is scheduled overnight from January 11th to 12th, aiming to enhance lane control and prevent unsafe crossovers. The circle will remain open, but motorists are urged to be vigilant as crews will be working close to the traffic. Full story Sandhills Sentinel.

Montgomery /Moore Counties Bridge Closure and Detour

The NCDOT has announced the closure of the bridge over Drowning Creek on Derby Road, affecting both Moore and Montgomery Counties, due to safety issues. A detour will be in place until the bridge's replacement in the summer of 2024.

Reminder: Curbside Christmas Tree Pick Up - Village of Pinehurst

Just a reminder that residents of the Village of Pinehurst can have their Christmas Trees picked up by placing them on the curb on Wednesday mornings through January 31.
