Jack Farrell has been appointed to the Pinehurst Council, filling the vacancy created by Patrick Pizzella's election as Mayor. Chosen from eleven candidates, Farrell's extensive local experience and historical knowledge were decisive in his selection according to the Village of Pinehurst. Southern Pines Library Temporary Closure

The Southern Pines library will be closed for renovations from January 14 to 16, 2024, and will reopen on January 17, 2024, following the completion of these enhancements.

Sheriff Fields Alerts to 'Social Security' Scam

Sheriff Ronnie Fields of Moore County is issuing an important warning to the public about a recent scam targeting citizens. Reports have emerged of residents receiving a misleading "Future of Social Security" ballot, purportedly from an organization named "The Seniors Center." These ballots, which are dispatched by an unidentified third party, deceptively solicit donations ostensibly for social security purposes. Sheriff Fields emphasizes that this operation is a scam.

The Sheriff's guidance is clear: do not complete or return the ballot, refrain from sending any donations, and most importantly, do not provide any personal information. Source: Moore County Sheriff’s Office

A Touch of Personal Care in Physical Therapy

In the community of Southern Pines, Ostert Physical Therapy has quickly become a beacon of healing and hope. Owned and passionately operated by Aprille Ostert, this local gem has been serving the residents of Southern Pines for over a year and a half now, located conveniently at 340 Commerce Ave, Suite 15.

A Journey of Expertise and Dedication

Aprille Ostert, the heart and soul behind this venture, brings an impressive 25-year journey of clinical experience, with 15 of those years as a clinical director. Driven by a desire to have a more personal impact on her patients' journeys, Aprille embarked on her own venture. "I wanted to open my own clinic to directly influence patient care and offer a more personalized treatment experience," says Aprille. This personalized approach is evident in every aspect of Ostert Physical Therapy.

Aprille Ostert, Owner and Physical Therapist

At Ostert Physical Therapy, it's not just about the treatment; it's about the personal touch and continuity in care. Patients benefit from seeing the same physical therapist each visit, ensuring a consistent and tailored approach to their recovery. The clinic stands out for its one-on-one care, which includes manual therapy techniques, aiding in recovery from injuries or post-surgery rehabilitation.

Beyond the walls of the clinic, Ostert Physical Therapy has shown a deep commitment to community involvement. From hosting charity events, like the recent Christmas drive supporting Friend to Friend, to conducting free workshops at local gyms on injury prevention, the clinic's dedication to community well-being is evident. "Our goal is to not only heal but also educate our community on staying healthy," Aprille notes.

Looking Forward: Growth and Expansion

Thanks to the community's embrace and the clinic's success, plans are underway to expand the team. "The growth of our clinic has been incredible, and we are in the process of bringing another full-time physical therapist on board," Aprille shares excitedly.
