Sheriff’s Office Celebrates Promotions of Conway, Galloway, and McCallister

Village of Pinehurst Welcomes 3 New Police Officers

Southern Pines Man Arrested for Firearm and Drug Charges Following Traffic Stop

William Mathew Greco Jr., a 29-year-old Southern Pines resident, was arrested following a traffic stop for a vehicle regulatory violation that turned into firearm and multiple drug-related charges. Attempting to escape on foot, Greco was quickly apprehended by the police. He now awaits a court hearing, held at the Moore County Detention Center on a $225,000 bond. Carthage Applications for Planning Board Position, Deadline January 8

The Town of Carthage is seeking applicants for a vacant seat on the Planning Board, with a term ending in June 2025. Interested individuals should complete the Volunteer Form and submit it to the Town Clerk by January 8, 2024. The selection process includes an interview with the Board of Commissioners.
