Homeward Kitchen Opens in Southern Pines with Charitable Twist

On December 6, Golden Corral's long-awaited new fast-casual concept, Homeward Kitchen, officially opened for business in Southern Pines. The opening ceremony, highlighted by a ribbon-cutting event, also announced a charitable initiative with Sandhills/Moore Coalition for Human Care. Jason Kornosky leads the venture as VP of Operations, focusing on growth and enhancing customer experiences. The restaurant offers a homely menu with both classic and unique options, in a setting that supports dine-in, take-out, and drive-thru. This opening marks the beginning of a planned expansion of Homeward Kitchen locations. See full article QSR Magazine.

Sandhills/Moore Coalition for Human Care was founded in 1986 by eleven local churches. It has grown significantly since its inception, now receiving support from 64 local churches, the United Way of Moore County, as well as contributions from individuals, businesses, and various community groups.

The primary goal of the Coalition is to ease the burden of hunger and financial difficulties faced by households in Moore County. This is achieved through the support of the community, the commitment of devoted volunteers, and the revenue generated from The Coalition Resale Shops.
