New Lead in Substation Attacks: FBI Seeks Public's Aid in Locating Suspect Van
A year after the Moore County substation attacks, the FBI and Moore County Sheriff's Office are seeking public help to locate a silver or light blue Honda Odyssey, believed to be linked to the incident. The van, model years 2011-2017, was seen on the night of the attack between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. The image above represents what the van may look like. A $100,000 reward is offered for information leading to a resolution. The public is encouraged to report sightings to the FBI or the Sheriff's Office. Twigg & Co. Unveils Plans for an In-Store Permanent Farmer's Market
Twigg & Co., an Aberdeen retail store dedicated to championing artists, crafters, makers and small business owners, has embarked on an innovative project to establish a permanent farmer's market within their store. This initiative aims to create a dedicated space for local food vendors and farmers, providing a platform for them to showcase and sell their products. The company has already set aside a specific area for this market and is now actively seeking partnerships with local food purveyors.

Santa’s Got a Brand New Bag Shag!
'Tis the season for jingle bells, mistletoe, and... shag dancing? You bet! The Moore Area Shag Society turned up the holiday cheer at their monthly social dance on December 2, 2023, and guess who dropped by? Santa himself! And let me tell you, Santa not only knows his way around a chimney but also the dance floor!
Santa's Got Moves! The club members were in for a treat as Santa (a.k.a. Randy Burnett) showed off some smooth shag moves. Who knew Santa could dance the Shag, the official state dance of North Carolina, with such flair? It turns out, when he's not delivering presents, he's probably practicing his dance steps!
The event took place at Down Memory Lane in Aberdeen, a venue that is home for the club's members. The atmosphere was electric, filled with the rhythms of beach music, courtesy of guest Shag DJ, Buck Crumpton.
Feast, Friends, Music and Mystery Gifts Adding to the festivities, members enjoyed a delightful covered dish dinner. The spirit of giving was in the air, as 10 lucky attendees received mystery gifts, compliments of the club.
With over 80 people in attendance, the hall was buzzing with energy and laughter. It was a night where friends, old and new, came together, united by their love for beach music and the Shag dance.
Until Next Time If you missed out on this one, don't worry – the Moore Area Shag Society meets monthly and is always happy to welcome new members. Whether you’re a seasoned Shagger or just curious about this joyful dance, you’re invited to join the fun!
