Moore County High-Speed Chase Ends in Crash, Driver on the Loose

A dramatic high-speed chase unfolded in Moore County, culminating in a crash and the driver's mysterious disappearance. The incident began around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday November 25 on US-15 501, when state troopers attempted a routine traffic stop. Defying orders to pull over, the driver initiated a pursuit, leading authorities on a chase that ended in Pinehurst.

Upon reaching the scene of the crash, emergency responders discovered the vehicle ablaze at the roadside. However, the driver was nowhere to be found, having vanished from the scene. The highway patrol is now spearheading the investigation into this elusive driver and the circumstances surrounding the chase and crash. Full story on WRAL with video.
