Repaving Continues in the Village of Pinehurst
Repaving continues in the downtown Village of Pinehurst on the one-way segment on Cherokee Road that runs beside the outdoor space of Lisi Italian restaurant. That portion of the road will be temporarily closed to vehicles Tuesday, October 3rd from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. This is a continuation of the Village of Pinehurst’s Downtown Resurfacing project. The sidewalks will remain open.

Mark Your Calendar: National Emergency Alert Test on Thursday
This Thursday, Oct. 4, FEMA, in coordination with the FCC, will conduct a national test of the Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS) on October 4, 2023. This test is to ensure that Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) and the Emergency Alert System (EAS) remain effective for warning the public about emergencies, especially at the national level. All major U.S. wireless providers will participate and transmit the test to their subscribers. If your phone is on and within range of an active cell tower from a participating provider, you should receive the test alert once during the 30-minute transmission.
This should all take place at approximately 11:30am on Thursday.
