New Twists and Turns: Downtown Southern Pines Shakes Up Broad Street Traffic!
Starting Wednesday morning, there are changes to the traffic direction on some parts of Broad Street in downtown Southern Pines. Two more sections of Broad Street are now one-way streets after NCDOT did some roadwork overnight. If you're driving from W. Morganton Rd. to downtown, you'll now turn right at W. Illinois Avenue, go over the railroad tracks, and then turn left to keep going towards downtown on SE Broad St. Additionally, SE Broad Street is now one-way for two more blocks, between E. Illinois Avenue and E. Massachusetts Avenue.
