Upcoming Deployment for 200 Fort Liberty Soldiers
On September 20, the Army Department revealed plans for the 82nd Airborne Division Headquarters to deploy from Fort Liberty this fall.
The 82nd Airborne's paratroopers will step in for the 10th Mountain Division Headquarters, which is set to conclude its nine-month deployment that commenced in March.
This marks the division's second stint in the area, following their return from Eastern Europe in August 2022. They will reinforce additional units along NATO's Eastern Flank, highlighting the U.S.'s commitment to its European partners.

Village of Pinehurst Temporary Road Closing
From the Village of Pinehurst (Government): As you’re out and about, please note that today, Tuesday, Sept. 26th, a Duke Energy contractor will close Shaw Rd, North East, from HWY 5 (Beulah Hill Rd. North) to Barrett Rd East, from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to install underground gas services. Please contact the Public Services office at 910-295-5021 with any questions.
