Sheriff Reveals Name of Victim Shot in West End

Sheriff Ronnie Fields revealed that it was 28-year-old Robert Kyle Seiber who was fatally shot after a series of confrontations in West End on September 14. Seiber first attempted to enter a neighbor's home while holding a knife. Later, after a dispute with his brother, Detective Sergeant Austin Hubbard intervened. Despite warnings, Seiber approached Hubbard with the knife, leading Hubbard to shoot in self-defense. Following standard procedures, Hubbard is now on administrative leave during the ongoing investigation. The community and sheriff's office have expressed their sympathies to everyone affected by the tragic event.

In a press release dated Sept. 13, the Aberdeen Police Department requested assistance with a shooting that took place on the 13th where an 11-year-old was shot in the arm when approximately 40 rounds were fired into a residence. The child was treated and released at First Health.
